Thursday is a great day for yard sales
Since neither hubby nor I are working at present (except for the little bit of writing that I’m doing), we have a lot of free time on our hands. Even though we don’t have a lot of money coming in right now, we know that’s going to turn around soon. But, whether we have money or not, we love to go to yard and garage sales.
Normally we go on Friday or Saturday, but I saw a few ads in the paper for today so we thought we’d check them out. Plus, being relatively new to this town, it’s a good way for us to get familiar with the town’s layout.
Let me tell you, Thursday is a great day to go to yard sales. It’s the first day for a lot of sales, and there seem to be fewer shoppers. We really cleaned up. Hubby got a Craftsman roll-around tool chest, a camp stove, and some stuff for his model trains; I picked up a bamboo plant, a really cool mosaic bowl and votive candle holder set, and some wind chimes. And, we spent less than $30.
All in all, not a bad day.
